Sciatica

Sciatica is leg pain down the back part of your thigh and calf. Sciatica occurs when the large sciatic nerve becomes irritated and inflamed. The pain in the leg can be a sharp, shooting pain or a dull, deep ache, and can be either constant or variable. There are many reasons for the sciatic nerve to be irritated, such as arthritis, disc problems, obesity, poor posture, or internal disease. Very often it is caused by an abnormal spinal position or misalignment of a vertebra in the lower back.

Your chiropractor is trained to properly diagnose your symptoms and to recommend appropriate treatment. Relief from sciatica pain may be as simple as a call to our office.
