Radicular Pain

Radicular pain is pain that radiates out along a nerve due to irritation or inflammation of the nerve. This can be a major result of impingement upon nerves of the neck, mid and lower back areas, and could be the result of an injury, repetitive activity, poor sleeping positions, or for no identifiable reason.

Radicular pain can present itself in many different ways. The pain can be felt as numbness, tingling, burning sensations, sharp pain, or constant tenderness down your back, arms, or legs.

Seeking chiropractic treatment for radicular pain can help. Your chiropractor can help take pressure off nerves that are being pinched by correcting the alignment of bones in the neck or back.

It is important to seek treatment immediately after radicular pain begins, as this can prevent it from traveling further from the initially affected area.
